Sandman Legend Picks: Week Of Sep 25
The Legends are not quite where they want to be yet, but it feels like they are starting to find their footing. While we have not seen that one massive breakout week, the group is showing more consistency, regularly finishing above .500, and it seems like a big week is coming soon. Jenny Butler, who started the season off slow, just delivered a dominant 8-2 performance and may be hitting her stride.
Could this be the week more of our experts break through? There is plenty of disparity across the board, with many 6-5 splits, but two games stand out with strong consensus. Eight of eleven experts believe Illinois’ flop against Indiana was an aberration and expect the Illini to bounce back at home against Lincoln Riley’s resurgent, undefeated USC squad. And in the SEC’s marquee matchup, nine of eleven are rolling with Georgia to cover the small 2.5-point spread “between the hedges” against Alabama. Only Mike Paston and Robot Rob (our AI friend sitting at an impressive 25-15 record this season) are siding with the Crimson Tide.
It is by far the best college football weekend of the season so far, and the NFL slate is loaded with juicy matchups as well. Buckle up for a great weekend of action, and hopefully the Legends can add a little padding to some wallets.
