Sandman Legend Picks: Week of September 4th
Well Sandman Nation, Week 1 of college football was not kind to the Legends. After crushing it last season, they hit a bit of a sophomore slump to start Year 2. Only three Legends managed to finish above .500 with Bierman, Paston, and Yumusaklar each going 6-4. At least those three outperformed our AI counterpart Robot Rob, who went 5-5. Everyone else finished under .500 and will be looking for a bounce back in Week 2.
There is no shortage of action to get after. With college football heating up and the NFL season finally kicking off, the slate is packed with intriguing matchups. There is a lot of consensus this week which could be a good sign, with most splits no worse than 7-4. The two exceptions are Kansas visiting Missouri, where 9 of 11 expect the Tigers to cover the 6.5 line while Bierman and Wintermote are riding with the Jayhawks, and the Monday night matchup in Chicago where Pat, Bierman, and Robot Rob like the Vikings to cover against the Bears even though they are in the minority.
Either way, with NFL action returning and college football finding its stride, this week promises plenty of excitement. The Legends are hungry for a rebound, and the hope is that their picks lead to wins on the board and wallets that keep getting fatter.
