Plan the ultimate girls’ trip for fall football weekends! From exciting games to unforgettable memories, create your perfect getaway with friends this season.

Hey! Hey Ladies! Back with more Girl’s Night Out fun only this time we’re road tripping. What’s better than a weekend with the girls? A weekend tailgating, shopping, and eating our way through college town vintage shops, dive bars, and treating ourselves to a little luxury when the mood calls. We’re giving you the lowdown on upcoming College Game Day fun and a brilliant excuse to take the crew on the road.

We’re starting in Miami where September air off the Atlantic feels like a slick velvet robe at a high end hotel, warm, humming, and a little glamorous. Bags packed? Sportsbook app locked and loaded? Let’s go.

Miami, FL – Florida at No. 4 Miami (Sat., Sept. 20, 7:30 p.m. ET, ABC)

Be sure to join the party early when College GameDay sets up on the Lakeside Patio in Coral Gables this weekend. Miami announced the GameDay visit, and the ESPN schedule shows the primetime ABC spot likely because this Florida rivalry always hits high volume with energy that pulls the tide closer to shore.

If you can squeeze it in, plan to arrive Friday night well before the lights pop on at Hard Rock Stadium and emerging football legends take the field. Slip into breezy linens and gold hoops for an evening in the Design District and fit in like a local. Start with a late dinner at Mandolin Aegean Bistro and save room for a carb-filled base Saturday brunch at Sadelle’s before you head to campus early enough to get close to the ESPN crew.

If you’re craving retail therapy at some point, swing through The Webster for luxury designer splurges or drive north to Pompano Beach and get your cowgirl on at Nora’s Western Wear where you can also put your toes in the sand. For late-night grit, Mac’s Club Deuce is an ultimate Miami dive. Or, if art and local culture are your thing, carve out a couple of hours for Wynwood Walls, Miami’s open-air gallery.

There are plenty of options in Miami after talking odds over mimosas, and why this is a perfect college football weekend for a couple Girls’ Nights Out. Remember to tee up an early wager or wait until kickoff. FanDuel currently lists Miami as an 8.5-point favorite over Florida; DraftKings has Florida +7.5; and BetMGM lists Miami -7.5 with a total around 51.5. (As of Sep 16, 2025, 1:27 p.m. ET.)

option 2: State College, PA – No. 6 Oregon at No. 2 Penn State (Sat., Sept. 27, 7:30 p.m. ET, NBC)

Not ready to roll out of town just yet? Wait until next weekend and pack your best winter white because the White Out is official for Oregon at Penn State under the lights on September 27. Penn State announced it twice over the summer, theme slate and time included, so build your fits around those pearly hues. Not sure if ESPN has committed to a Game Day appearance but trust that this one is on the short list.

Roll into town Friday night and start Saturday AM with pancakes at the Original Waffle Shop, wander College Ave for indie boutiques, or duck into Uptown Cheapskate for resale treasures. If vintage is your mood, Tiger’s Eye Vintage serves funky finds with coffeehouse energy. Aim for an early tailgate on the fields. Penn State’s football “Game Day Central” and parking pages keep you out of the traffic weeds. Postgame, you’re not done until you hit the Berkey Creamery for a scoop of Peachy Paterno, then settle into Allen Street Grill for a cozy late dinner. Or if you are feeling nightcap energy, swing by Phyrst, the iconic basement bar with live bands and sticky floors in the best way.

Bets and buzz: As of this week (Sept 17, 2025), multiple books have the Nittany Lions -3.5. Take the early odds or check your apps the closer you get to State College.

Not feeling State College or Miami? How about Chapel Hill, NC when Clemson arrives to take on the Tar Heels (Sat., Oct. 4, time TBD)

The Dogwoods might not be blooming in October, but Franklin Street still feels like a porch party. NFL great Bill Belichick has his work cut out for him after taking the helm at UNC and tackling coaching at the college level. ESPN College GameDay is widely predicted but not yet official by national outlets for Week 6 to occur at Chapel Hill.

Either way, it is always a good idea to keep your travel plans flexible, and if they do plan to show, get to Tar Heel Town early for some early fun on game day. Fuel up with brunch at Carolina Coffee Shop, then shop Franklin Street. Gibson Girl Vintage is the curated stop for flared jeans and retro accessories; Tripp’s Store mixes vintage clothing with local folk art. Dinner at Acme in Carrboro sets the table for a night of Carolina blue, followed by dive-bar darts at He’s Not Here where the Blue Cups are a must have souvenir.

Game line is TBD, but the futures market tells the story. BetMGM has Clemson (+375) chasing, and UNC as a longer shot at +4000 (As of Sep 17, 2025, 7:28 a.m. CT.) Odds may be TBD, but girl math says a long shot in Carolina blue is just another way to say investment piece.

Quick Odds Recap & What’s Next?

For Miami–Florida this Saturday: FanDuel has Miami -7.5; BetMGM lists context on totals and futures with Miami +180 to win the ACC Championship. (As of Sep 17, 2025)

From Miami’s gold hoops and conch fritters to State College honky tonk dives, this season’s best college football weekends for Girls’ Trips aren’t just about the scoreboard. They are about the girls’ trip vibe. Odds, brunches, boutiques, and boots all matter when you’re curating memories with your girls.
